keyboard works funny - keyboard translation file?

Post by bobbens »

well i found out that my keyboard didnt work at all, so i had to enable "Use raw keycodes" under Mouse/Keyboard. But i find that sometimes it does funny things, like it acts like the little apple button is down all the time and things like that. I'm using an american USB keyboard but also have a PS/2 keyboard hooked up to my computer (when my computer powers off suddenly sometimes the bios doesnt detect the keyboard, this doesnt happen with the PS/2 keyboard plugged in). Is there some keyboard translation file or something like that, that can fix this? It be best if the "windows" key worked as the apple key, although this might not work too well on my computer because i have my japanese input system working with the "windows" key (using debian gnu/linux). Thanks.
