edit: OS 9 Helper site seems to be down.Thanks for your arrogance, MISTER. Just to let you know: I've been beta-testing the above patch on a Kanga back in 2002 for one of the persons who made 9.2x-compatibility finally possible.
That's nearly three years ago and I have long switched to OS X, but if I recall it correctly the actual patch does not only modify the installer, but also several resources inside Mac OS 9.2x's system morsel (I remember I had to patch quite a lot of resources with ResEdit, some of them originating from versions < 9.1!). And if this included the boot loader, there would be a chance to get it run on SheepShaver by modifying the 9.2x installer by applying the patch before you try to run anything >= 9.1. Just a thought, but obviously only worth your flame here ... Mad
