Hi folks,
trying to get SS working on my MacBook Pro.
I get the boot screen with flashing question mark disk icon if I don't have a disk inerted.
If I have a CD inserted, I get smiley, then the CD ejects, and SS's emulated environment restarts to the flashing question mark disk icon.
Here's my console.log:

There is a file /Volumes/MacAssist/Users/sean/test.img, and I've tried a few different disk images in different locations. I've also tried with and without the /Volumes/MacAssist prefix on paths.
Here's my .sheepshaver_prefs file:

Running Mac OS X v10.4.5 on a 2GHz 15" MacBook Pro - had similar problems on a 17" iMac dual core.
Hope someone has some hints...

I've tried Mac OS 8.0, 8.1, 8.5, 9.0 and 9.1 CDs - all do the same. I'm using a 4MB Alchemy ROM from a 5400 as I need to run 8.0 for my Dad to use programs which won't run in Classic. I tested some of these CDs with the machine the ROM came from and it booted up, so it's not like the ROM won't natively support those OSes.
Thanks
Sean

Hi Cat,
Neither worked - the disk wasn't ejected, but SS just crashed out.
This is what I get with 8.5 and its ROM:

Can anyone say if they've had success with OS 8.0 and Mac OS X's version of SheepShaver?
