Hi - Thank you for this forum - it helped me to get Sheepshaver up and running on my Intel Mac. I'm having problems though, maybe you can help.

My main reason for installing Sheepshaver was to get SoundEdit running. I was able to do this - which felt great. Was also able to get SoundEdit up and running, too. Unfortunately, playback within SoundEdit is full of clicks and pops. I assume this is a buffering issue, or something - but I have Sheepshaver set to 400Mg of memory and SoundEdit itself set to five times its regular requirement. It's literally impossible to work on sound in the program right now, popping and clicking like it does. Any advice?

Thanks ahead of time. G/

Do you have the JIT Compiler in SheepShaver set to on?

Also, sometimes I've found that sound can have clicks and go slow. And the best way to get rid of it is to have interface sounds on and click some stuff and maybe run an app with sound to check you're not getting sound blips. It's fixed the sound in EV for me more than once.

Hey -Thanks for the response-

I think I had the JIT box clicked when I installed it with the Sheepshaver GUI; will try the opposite (either clicking on or off) What exactly does that do?

What's strange is I don't have clicks when I play the same files back in Quicktime and try sounds in the Sound Control Panel, etc. Could this just be a glitch between Sheepshaver and SoundEdit?

Having the JIT option clicked means it's on.

As for the soundedit, it's possible, because sheepshaver isn't perfect, even though we wish it was. :P
