How does it hang? Does it display anything at all? If you open the Console in Applications/Utilities, do you see output like "Cannot map RAM: File exists" when starting SheepShaver? If so, you should download the 10.5.3 combo updater and install it. It worked for me...
I'm doing this for the first time, and here's how I went astray. The file SheepShaver_05_01_2008_UB.zip contains SheepShaver, but not the separate GUI app, so I just launched it assuming that GUI was part of this program and not a separate program. So I was expecting to do the configuration from here and it just hung.
Once I got the the GUI app and configured it all, I got a lot further. Unfortunately, I have a PowerMac G4 CD and it doesn't want install on "this computer," so I will probably try to get a universal 8.6 CD.

universal build
Hi, I'm new around here. I installed SS and B2 (beauchesne build) on my powerbook g4 10.3.9 and on my intel imac os 10.5. All goes well.
Your UB wont start on my PB. I guess it needs at least 10.4?
Thank you
Christian

I am not sure if there are recent improvements for the Windows version in the source. Have you considered trying to compile a new Windows version yourself?filipetolhuizen wrote:Please someone make a newer build for win32 too
