Any way to transmit force-quit code to SheepShaver (OS X)?

Any way to transmit force-quit code to SheepShaver (OS X)?
I'm running SheepShaver 21-07-2008 on a MacBrook Pro under OS X 10.5.6. Within SheepShaver, running System 9, a program has hung. I want to force-quit that program. Typing command-option-escape doesn't work because OS X traps it. I can kill off SheepShaver, of course, but I only want to kill off the hung System-9 program. Is there any way to do this?
