Hi all !
I just read one of Ronald's post saying that MacOS 9.1->9.2.2 does not work in SheepShaper by lack of MMU emulation...
PearPC does include a PPC MMU emulation, and I think that MAME too. Did anyone already tried to include this into SheepShaver ?
Does anyone have any idea of what's missing to do this ?
MMU emulation

Here's an idea for an invention....
A compact USB 2.0/3.0 device which people can plug into their PCs and would then act as a sort of processing bridge for SheepShaver. It'd have an on-board G3 or G4 processor as well as dedicated RAM.
Sheepshaver would need to be rewritten to take advantage of such an external acceleration device, but the result would be dramatic improvement in running PPC apps.
What'd be even more interesting is if the device can be hooked up over a LAN so that it can process PPC instructions for networked PCs that are also all using SheepShaver. Kind of nodding to distributed computing....
