i have the os 8.6 cd. i copied the rom off of my desktop with macdrive, then transfered it to my laptop w/ linux. I have a few questions:
1. did the file system get corrupted? can i fix that by copying it off of the cd in linux with the cd mount as an HFS type?
2. do i need to extract anything? if so can i get this tool for windows or linux as i dont have a mac handy.

Im not sure if the rom on the CD will work.

But you can download the update ROM from apple which will work with sheepshaver (i just installed OS 8.6 with it) :D

But you have extract it in mac os, you cant extract it from windows or linux.

damn. i dont have a mac comp around? is tehre ANY way to extract it? if its legal, can someone extract it and link to it here. id REALLY appriciate it if they could
