Sheepshaver's technical manual

Post by sentient06 »

Is there any technical manual for SS as it is for B2?

I wanted to learn more details on which processors and ROMs are supported and how they relate to the host machine, etc, without digging into the code. =(

Btw, the B2 manual is here, it is a really good introduction: http://basilisk.cebix.net/TECH

I think it was lost when the developer's website closed down... I forgot the name...

EDIT: Excuse me, I may be wrong...

Hi,

No, there is no technical guide for SheepShaver as there is for Basilisk. I'm assuming Basilisk was (one of) Christian Bauer' academic tasks and required extensive documentation.
I tried starting a technical guide for sheepshaver some time ago by giving our main developers access to wiki pages on this site. This way at least recent development would be documented. The initiative failed as they were busy elsewhere.

The wayback machine provides this for sheepshaver: http://web.archive.org/web/200903010457 ... heepshaver

(up to April 2010)

Best,
