Debug messages from SheepShaver

Post by hBarcellos »

Hi all,

I'm trying to install Mac OS 8.5 using a cd burned from an image. When i try to boot, Mac OS screen (with some CDs at the baground) appears and the progress bar starts to move. But it freezes in the very beginning.
When i disable JIT option, i dont have the freeze but SheepShaver quits with a message of Illegal Operation.
Is there some parameter that i can pass to SheepShaver so it shows me some debug messages ?

Debug information

Post by Cat_7 »

Hello,

I've seen a possible debug option when compiling. In the short overview, where it says what functions will be available, there's a statement about a "mon-debugger".

I tried to find it, but I am not shure whether I did find it or not;-)
There a reference to a cx-mon package on Christian Bauer' site
http://www.uni-mainz.de/~bauec002/CXMain.html

I tried to install it, but didn't succeed.

and I found a reference on:
http://www.smx-rtos.com/rtos/devtools/sspr.htm

If you get any further, will you let me know?

Good Luck,
