cannot open rom file error

I have just performed a clean install of Mandrake 10 and am attempting to use sheepshaver, but using all 3 roms i have (performa, quad650 (work with baselisk) and the os 8.6 one) i get the 'cannot open rom error. i have tried to load them from the desktop, windows directory but cant place them in the usr/bin directory because it wont let me. please help me.

Hello,

You can put the rom file in your home directory and then point sheepshaver to the file in the memory/misc settings.

You can fill in the exact location and name, like
/home/"username"/"name of the rom file"

of course , you are aware of the case sensitivity...

I dont think you can use the quadra and performa roms because i think those were 68k macs

He says he has the 8.6 CD ROM, he can use that, but yeah, he cannot use the Performa or Quadra ROMs, unless it was a ROM taken from a PPC Performa.
