x64 Windows 10 - SheepShaver cdenable.sys

Post by jordanbaron2 »

I have got everything else working on SheepShaver, except that when I run it it gives me the cdenable.sys is missing error. I have the .sys file in the drivers folder, and it doesn't work. It gives me the error, then it shows the SheepShaver windows and there is just a floppy drive icon with a blinking question mark and a gray background.

I am on Windows 10 64-bit

If you are trying to boot off a real CD the cdenable issue is a problem as you can't use real CDs under Win10 64bit. You would need to make a .iso file of your CD and add the .iso as a drive.

If you are not trying to boot off a CD then your emulated hard drive is not bootable or the emulator cannot locate it properly.

You are just seeing normal Mac behaviour for "I cannot find a bootable drive". The Mac is starting up correctly though.

Hi

The CD was solved some time ago. Please read the first post in this thread:
http://www.emaculation.com/forum/viewto ... =20&t=5325
and use the SheepShaver.exe from the download.

Best,
