Can SheepShaver run Suse PPC Linux as a Guest?

I have a Mac Pro 2012 development workstation and I want to be able to run PPC Linux to test ported code. Will SheepShaver work for this task?

Nope,

Qemu-system-ppc or Qemu-system-ppc64 are the way to go for that.
But also with those Linux support is not guaranteed.

Check the QEMU wiki for the PPCLinux compatability. The Wiki's likely a bit out of date, but it's a good starting point.
