The refresh rate was at 40, so it crashed every minute. I decided to use 100 refresh rate now instead, and when I completed the registration, the mouse locked up.
Forgot how many times I screeched.
Why does this happen anyways?

That’s also why I switched to QEMU. It’s a bit slower, but the mouse doesn’t lock up.

Indeed, using QEMU is the general suggestion here. PearPC is ancient. It is important to approach it with limited expectations.

"A bit slower" is somewhat subjective. PearPC boots up faster; I haven't seen much of a difference in performance between it and a current QEMU when actually running applications, especially when said QEMU has sound disabled like PearPC does.

A thing I used to do on my Windows XP machine was I give PearPC the mouse when I need it and take it back when I don’t need it. It was locking up too, but less frequently than giving it the mouse all the time and taking the mouse away when you need it for your host computer.

I also compiled a list of stuff that the PowerPC emulators do.
SheepShaver emulates Mac OS 7.1.2-Mac OS 9.0.4 and has memory issues.
PearPC emulates Mac OS X 10.1-10.4 (No Classic) and has mouse problems.
Qemu (PPC) emulates Mac OS 9.0.4-Mac OS 10.5 (With Classic) and has speed problems.

Good summary of the three PPC emulators; probably also worthwhile pointing out that PearPC doesn't support audio, and that QEMU-PPC is under active development (and has fewer speed issues than it did 6 months ago).
