Bad Panther CD image?
Posted: Fri May 14, 2004 6:19 am
I have been trying in vain to get PearPC working for days.
No matter what I do, whenever I try to boot from my Panther CD image I get this error:
The full text of the log is as follows:
This is with prom_bootmethod in the config file set to select. I get the error about being unable to open the boot file when I choose to boot from Panther CD1. The CD does show up in the list of detected bootable volumes. If I set prom_bootmethod to auto, then I will get the aforementioned error on startup before PearPC's GUI (where you select the volume to boot from) even appears, and will be dropped back to the command prompt.
I am now beginning to suspect that my Panther CD image is bad.
My Mac OS X Install Disc 1.toast is 673,783,808 bytes in size.
Does anyone have a CD image of the same size?
I asked some people in #pearpc on freenode and they said their CD image of the same name was a different size.
Thank you for any help.
