About PearPC, a PPC Mac emulator for Windows and Linux, and to a limited extent MacOSX, that can run MacOSX up to 10.4.

Just wanted to let ya know that I whipped together a quick GUI configurator for both Windows & Linux. I made it in the image of our good friend Basilisk II :)
You can grab the stuff here:
Enjoy, already working on the next release, hope to add more toys like making HD images, etc.
Feel free to post ideas/suggestions/bugs in this thread, I'll try and get to them as time allows

Hey.... This Gui is great... However I am having a hard time getting Pearpc to work... It starts up and says that there is no bootable device... can you help...??

This GUI is really great!
One idea that is not essential, but that would perhaps fit well with the PearPC project.
Would it be possible to design your application for a next version following the "Apple Human Interface Guidelines"? They explain how to design an Aqua app, with Mac OS X presentations specs. It is interesting.
For more details, see:
Thanks for your initiative, and good luck for the next version!
All the best,

Jeez, it's HUGE! Could you do something smaller? E.g. without fancy installer and Delphi CLX?
But anyway, thanks for great job!

The program is really great thank you.
Have some comments though :) Can you make it as a zip package as the installer spits undesired desktop/sm shortcuts?
I'm also wondering if you are going to port the code (nice concept BTW)
to C++ as Delphi runtime bloats install and makes non skinnable by XP UI.

Hey, this is cool.
One problem though when I launch PearPC using the run button, I get the following error, though PearPC does run with the customized ppc.cfg file.

Hello - it should be quite easy to implement disk creator for GUI... for both - RAW disk and MacOs HFS+ bootable disk..
.. just a suggestion :)

BTW, using the BXImage executable or source from Bochs would probably be the easiest way to go.

Works fine, OS X Panther a little slow but still enjoying it... can't wait for ram adjustment and network to work

Wowsers, quite the response during the day today while I was away :)
Thanks everyone for the feedback. Glad most of you found it to be useful.
I had thought about holding this until I could do more with it, but with so many people asking questions about how the configuration works, I figured it was best to start with the bare essentials and build up from there.
I definately want to get disk creation in there for the next round. Next release I will make smaller files, I know the runtimes add alot of bulk. So next release will have a choice of the program with or without the support libraries, since most of you will probably have them by then anyhow
As for the visual styles, the reason I had originally chosen the CLX route was to keep a single source base for both windows & linux versions. But there are alot of tradeoff's on both sides. I'll definately have to think about how to pursue this going forward.
Please to keep up the suggestions, and I'll try my best to see about getting them implemented as much as possible.
And special thanks to ClockWise for the front page linkage :)
