Network error using SDL Bulid 0.3pre+clockfix+SDL

Post by prasys »

Hello,

Well , I got this strange problem , before I installed 0.3pre SDL , network works fine , (It shows my Router IP , since I have briged the TAP32 ethernet and my LAN connection). But after I install 0.3pre , now it shows up with the yellow sign ,saying that it has a self-assigned IP Address...Well ,how do I fix that , any work around ?....

Is that go to do with my Config ?

What I did to solve this was to delete the network bridge, then manually configure my ethernet adapter and the TAP adapter in Windows, set the ethernet adapter to shared, and the next time I booted OSX (10.3.4) in Pear I had a green light on network (In System Prefrences network configuration is set to auto DHCP)

I get network work on 0.2, but not 0.3pre.

So, use 0.2

Just turn the NIC off and then on again in OS X. Comes back pretty quick for me. Networking can be a tad flaky right now, so be patient. Also, I am using a non-standard windows build so YMMV.
