OSNews reports 0.4pre faster than a real Mac!(?)

According to some mac "freaks", OS X's average installation time is a half an hour to an hour (usually closer to an hour) and I installed OS X Panther on my Athlon64 3200+ in 20 minutes

Also I see Richard Goodwin (whose Athlon64 build they used) spruced up his site. Good Work Fella![/code]

This build is great. I don't know if it's a CVS update, something Richard added to his build or just me. Because this build seems so stable, I've decided to *finally* continue trying to integrate Mac OS X into Windows. Basically, it's making a user called Mac OS X, and having that user automatically launch PearPC, and hide the Windows environment. So far so good :D

BTW: I can hardly wait for 0.4 official!

Finally 10.1 works fine.

Once they fix it so you can do an install directly from nativecdrom, think of how easy it would be to install Mac OS X. Is there a way around this now? The grey apple screen comes up for five minutes until the apple changes to a Ã˜ when I try to install OS X from my CD Drive.

Yes, a bit off topic, but I have the same question, I can install OS X from a CD image, but Cannot install it using NATIVE CD, I just get the blocked sign. Anyone have any suggestions?

PS, is this build faster than the last .4 pre builds? I checked the CVS, and see nothing added that would make much difference?

That's what I mean when I say you can't install it directly from the CD.

But why prefer 10.1 above 10.3 (Panther)/
Is it faster maybe, or something?
