Pre-formatted harddrive where to find?

Pre-formatted harddrive where to find?

Hello I was wondering where I can find a blank pre -formatted /partitioned hard drive at?..since pearpc.net is down...and I'm unable to access disk utility on Mac osx disc..since I can't seem to even boot it up without it saying.."0 unbootable drive/partition".

It will be so perfect and will make my day if someone can kindly help a newbie like myself out :)
