Iso crashes after first part of install

My iso installs only successfully on the first part of it..then it tells me I need to reboot..I get no grey apple logo screen on my screen like I see in YouTube videos..it just crashes to the virtualbox GUI screen.OK like there is three parts of the install..and it only let's me install the first part of it...and no not discs either..because I know I only need one disc;its the part where I have to reboot..then it crashes.
