Hey, we turn twenty years old this week. How about that?

Congrats to all involved !

It was a amazing ride up to now. I still sometimes marvel at the seemingly effortless international collaboration.
Nevertheless, we also withered some storms unbeknown to the general public.
Of those 20 years, I only witnessed 3/4 of them, as I joined on Fri Feb 13, 2004 10:59 am

But here's to the next 20 years ;-)

Best,
Cat_7

Great to have had you here all these years! The site would not exist without your contributions.

Here's a fun WayBackMachine link:

https://web.archive.org/web/19991007165 ... aculation/

You can see that the site was abandoned back in September of 1999. Good thing we made it through that storm!

Here's a link to our first attempt at a forum:

https://web.archive.org/web/19991012110 ... 54234.html

I guess that launched that same month, September of 1999.

Congratulations to you, MeanE / ClockWise, and to all of us.

I joined in February 2006, had a problem while trying to configure SheepShaver. After I found the cause of the issue, Cat_7 responded:

Good to see that the Dutch can still solve their own problems.
Little did I know then that I would still be involved the way I am now, thirteen years later.

I appear to have almost split the difference! After only seeing Clockwise on Hotline servers, then lurking on the various iterations of here for 10 years, then having an account for almost 10...

Well, thank you for what all of you have put in over the years!

Also, this site has been very inspiring to me. I don't think I'd ever have begun working with Terminal and even Linux otherwise. For me it began six years ago with installing tuntaposx and having a shell script start SheepShaver with AppleTalk, according to Cat_7's guide. It has been a sometimes frustrating, yet very interesting learning curve since.

Living in Holland as an EU citizen, for me it's rather the Dutch solving my problems. :-)

I think this site could use some documents on how Macs actually work rather than just list what programs can emulate Macs. But that aside, happy belated twentieth anniversary.
