Ares 20th Anniv. Livestream

Post by Elyus »

Sfiera, author of the modern Ares port Antares, is hosting a livestream tonight (~8pm Central) celebrating the 20th anniversary of Ares:

I only just realized this hadn't been posted, so it's really short notice. Sfiera will undoubtedly have a lot of insights, plus the game is fun to watch. Hop over to Twitch if you have the chance!

That was a really entertaining livestream! Nathan Lamont participated in the commentary and talked a lot about the history of Ares, plus Patrick from the old Ares forums joined for a few multiplayer games. Sfiera has posted the video and other materials here: https://arescentral.org/news/livestreamed; be sure to take a look if you missed it!

Wow... this brings back memories. Ares was right at the end of my Ambrosia gaming experience; I fired it up, but never fully got into it before life took me elsewhere.

I guess we're too late for an Avara livestream? I'd love to see some of the Avara masters have a go at it again with moonjumps and the rest.

Scarlet Swordfish did one last year with a few of the other high-level Avara players:
