Darwin/x86

Post by willhart »

I'm just wondering, is there any practical use for installing Darwin/x86? Does it have any sort of GUI I could install on it?

If I remember correctly, it comes with a simple X-Server. I guess you could compile KDE/GNOME and use it as a desktop OS. But as I recall, Apple created Darwin/x86 just to show it's possible (and possibly make a secret OSX/x86 version :D ).

Also, the set of supported hardware is rather limited, so take care on what machine you would try an install on.

I think I'll have to ban him.

Actually, I won't be too harsh. But there's something I will do.

Done. Look to the left of your posts to find out what I have done. It's only a joke, so if you don't like it, tell me and I will change it back to a normal rank.

I understand how embarrasing that can be. I've given you a big winkie rank for now. I'll change it back to normal if you want.

A big winkie can still be small. A big wink, that would certainly do it!

When you talk about something lovingly, you often use words that make the object smaller, like "my little girl" or "lovely doggy" or "nice pussy" even when the object itself is full-grown.

Hence: Wink->Winkie

So when you really mean "big small wink", it could still be small, couldn't it?

Or was this too far fetched? :lol:

So if robojam says he has a big winkie, it could mean that he has a small winkie, and if he says he has a small winkie it could mean that he has a big winkie?

Now how many times have I used the work winkie in this post?

5. I better shut up going on about winkies. Now I've used the word 6 times 8O
