Stephen Coates is always leaving his AOL on and he never answers his IMs . Why don't all of us sign up for an AOL account , get AOL messenger and chat on our classic Macs?

And yes , the server still works .

But what good would that do? We already chat on the forum. :|

And if it's just for the sake of getting Stephen Coates' attention, I'm reasonably certain that he reserves that channel of communication for stuff that's more important and more immediate than something like Sheepshaver or Mac emulation.

You could use this method:

http://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/68k ... _messaging

And maybe use other protocols (even Google Chat) in your old Macintosh!

No . There you go . Never mind , I don't use Instant Messaging like the socialpaths out there . (Yes , not sociopaths) (It's pretty much some sort of ancronym for social addicts)

Silent Flamer, what is your AIM name? Maybe I can add you and send you a message as I never receive any of your messages.

I wonder if anyone stilll uses ICQ? I was thinking about stripping that out of the forum user profile. Reduce clutter, you know?

Surely you noticed I have an ICQ number?

I must have got that around 2003/2004.

Never used it though.

I noticed that you have a number. But wondered if you actually use it. I have an ICQ number from the 90s but haven't used it since high school!

My username is macintoshos755 . Yes , it's an awkward name , but the whole reason I even made and kept that account is because of my 68k Mac .
