Old Glider Versions

Post by ClockWise »

Anyone have quick links to the versions of Glider that were on John Calhoun's (now offline) page?

Glider PRO for Mac OS X
Glider PRO for Mac OS 9
More Houses Part I
More Houses Part II
Glider 4.0 for Mac OS 6 & 7
Glider 4.0 for Windows

Not sure, but did you know it had all been converted to a JavaScript App?

This site has Glider PRO, Glider 4, and two extra level sets.

Looks like Mac Garden has them now, too.

Thanks, mossy!

Welcome to the forum, by the way. Where are you writing these days? I miss your regular contributions over on Macscene.

After a solid decade of lurking I figured it was about time I signed up.

I'm writing all over the place these days. Doing big features for Ars Technica, regular science-y stuff at Gizmag, and semi-regular game dev-centric work for Gamasutra plus occasional contributions to each of several other sites (RockPaperShotgun, Polygon, USgamer, etc).

I'd love to write stuff at MacScene again (especially the old Mac Classics Reborn column), but it's hard to find the time and energy for it when I have a full plate of freelance work and a book and podcast to squeeze in around that. Maybe sometime soon I'll do a little thing.

(The book will be of great interest to many of the folks here, and I may post about it when we're ready to make an official announcement. The podcast is a storytelling/documentary-type thing about play called Ludiphilia.)

I just read your article on Ars about the city building genre. Wonderful stuff.

Please do come back and post about your book when you are ready.
