Hey guys,

i want to start a blog about MacOSX but i am not very fit in web applications. I was looking for and simple blog system on a stable base. Because of data security reasons i want to host it in germany, the local laws are better protection govermental access to my data.

Now the question is just which system should be installed. I look out and found drupal and wordpress.

W: https://www.fietz-medien.de/content-man ... index.html

Which is easier to handle for blogging purpose and has good possibilities for backups and updates?

Thank you!

I wish you a happy christmas!

Both Drupal and WordPress have fairly regular security vulnerabilities. However, Drupal is insecure by design, where WordPress is pretty good as long as you stick to the official version and don't add a bunch of plugins -- and update when new versions come out.

That said, WordPress is also a bigger attack target for Exploit Kit/Botnet attack orgs.

I tried Drupal some years ago, it was way too complicated for me. WordPress is quite easy to use.
I don't know how Drupal has evolved in the last few years though.
