100 PAL SNES games go MIA

Post by kataetheweirdo »

So, a package was sent over to a preservationist from Germany to the US. The problem is that the package went missing/stolen from USPS, after going from DHL, which itself got the package from Deutsche Post.

The package went missing somewhere around the Jersey area. The packaging was found, but the games are still MIA.

If you're wondering why this is important, it's because a lot of SNES games were either improperly dumped, cracked/trained, or otherwise tampered with.

Here are the full details for the whole event.

Yeah; I can vouch for the badly dumped/header modified PAL SNES carts. Can't imagine what someone would do with such a collection though -- maybe try to sell them to collectors?

Maybe the thief saw the declaration "100 game cartridges" and thought they'd hit a gold mine. Sadly, this means that they may have dumped the carts after realizing they were essentially worthless for resale.
