If you are going to ask this, you probably went to the wrong forum. OS X 10.7 is fully Intel based, and this forum is about PowerPC macs.

I never tried, but presumably Quemu (not Qemu PPC) would run early OSX Intel flavours too.
As there are VMWare and VirtualBox there will be little support for Intel Mac with Qemu methinks.
I have 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6 instances running in VMWare Fusion.
You will need the server version of OSX for Fusion though.

Does it support 10.5.6 leopard?

I seem to recall that 10.5.6 was PPC only, 10.5.8 does work, however.
Macintoshgarden has the server installation images.
VMWare Fusion is still free for private usage methinks.

10.5.x won't work on all hardware under VirtualBox; I've got 10.4.x and 10.5.x Server working just fine though.
Take a look here to see what supports what:

24bit, can you review that list for VMWare Fusion? It sounds like you may have had success where the matrix shows no support.
