FPU build question

Does the screamer build improve performance for Mac OS X guests or its the same speed of a normal build. 
If it says with fpu speed-up then it is faster compared to builds that do not have the speed-up compiled in.
Overall FPU speed is still slow, but those builds with fpu speed-up are some 50 % faster in fpu performance.
