Does anyone have a Classic Mac OS copy of Peek-a-boo?

I've been looking for this, it can do something really cool in OS 9.2.1/2, but I can't find a pre-OS X version, anywhere.

If you can get me one, I'll share the little easter egg Apple hid in the System Folder in OS 9.2.1/2.

Thanks, I believe peek-a-boo is the app I need to unlock Paneks from the System Folder.

Launch Peek-a-Boo and from the Processes menu>Launch Process>navigate to your System Folder and choose Panels.

OS 9 Only, but someone can try it with older OS's, just install Panels from OS 9 into your System Folder, and let us know.

Also works in Classic Environment, quite useful.

Gotta love spring-loaded tabs I used to use those extensively.

You can also enable them by dragging an open window to the bottom of the screen. They're based on a shareware title that did the same thing. I think it was part of ACTION Utilities? Worked all the way back to System 7.1.

Maybe I was, and I forgot, been a long time sense the Classic days.

I think you'll like Panels better, if you use it for awhile, the behavior is more refined.

Does anyone know any other way to active Panels, without Peek-a-Boo, seems odd that Apple added this to the Mac OS, but I don't know that OS 9 or OS X uses it at all, unless you use Peek-a-Boo.

Panels is spring-loaded folders, as far as I know. It's what the Finder uses to manage them. The standard way of launching it is to drag folders to the bottom of the screen. Launching it as a separate process isn't something officially supported (but you seem to have found a way, via peek-a-boo).

I get spring loaded folders, when I drag one to the bottom of the screen, but not colored tabs, or the back button and path. I.E., doesn't launch Panels.

Does it launch panels for you?

One nice thing about the old spring loaded folders is, you can drag any window to it, and it will create a tab, but when you click on them, it opens in a Finder window, not as useful as the workflow with Panels.
