Basillisk II launches by its self but wont launch from the gui

Post by slichtman »

Hi everyone. I have Mac Mojave and have this emulator working. I have two symptoms:
1. The GUI wont launch the Basillisk app. I run it manually
2. The Unix drive does not appear for the files to install on my guest.

Once again the app launches manually and both apps exist together. I should have mentioned this is for System 7.5 for the guest.

Any ideas?

Which BasiliskII build (build date) do you use?

Which GUI application do you use, the older one or the newer beta application?

Did you enter the correct path to a shared folder in the GUI for "Unix root"?

Version 1.0.

The path is correct.

The GUI is version 1.0 non beta. The beta version did not give me the ability to create a folder but only volumes.

Does the bootable OS require any special drivers to see the location? I have system 7.0.1 for the guest.

Version numbers do not identify the actual version, only build dates do. (True for both SheepShaver and BasiliskII.)

You will need to install the File System Manager extension. You can find the extension on Macintosh Garden: http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/file-system-manager-12
