Hi all,

Guess what, Im new to Mac emulation!

I was hoping some of you fine gentlemen could assist me by answering a couple of questions. There's a frosty one in it for anyone who can put me on the right track!

First up, I downloaded Basilisk II JIT. Got it set up with a ROM file and the OS7 Start up file. Seems to work ok.

Right then:

1) I downloaded OS 7.5.3 from the Apple site. It seems to be in a series of bin files. How do I turn this into a working hfv drive?

2) How do i get files in and out of my hfv drives? I have several programs on my PC NTFS drives and I'd like to put them in my emulated mac drive to install. Can this be done with HFV Explorer or do i need something else?

Thats all (for now at least  )! Much appreciate any help, thanks

Welcome to my obssession Ronald. :P

These pages may answer both your questions: http://mes.emuunlim.com/macemu/basilisk ... 2setup.htm

Once you can bootup BasiliskII, the My Computer can be used to transfer files into and out of the hard drive file. It's safe and efficient (as long as the file name isn't too big). Using HFVExplorer can possibly damage hard drive files (which Disk Tools can usually fix).
