How to compile & print from an intel mac

Post by hyphenex »

Has anybody got Basilisk II to compile under the new intel macs? Also, I was wondering if Network support was enabled under Basilisk II for the new intel macs, then I can print my ancient documents without having to go to a ps file first :P (and sell this crappy windows computer)

Hi,

BasiliskII has networking enabled through the "ether slirp" option in the config file.

If you got a working driver for your printer, it should work. Reports are that networking is slow though... recently improvements have been made to make networking faster, but I don't know if these have made it into the basiliskII for OSX build yet.

Best wishes,

Look here:

I guess it's a PPC build, but might run on Intel. And please read the "small print" about problems with the config file editing in Mac OS 10.4

There is also an experimental build for Intel Mac at:
