Someone help Please!
Can somebody please help me with getting on the internet in Basilisk II (Mac OS X Version)? I have tried the slirp method, although I am not sure I did it right. Is there more than just typing "slirp" (w/out quotations) in the EtherNet interface? Someone please help. Thanks. (I apologize if this has already been posted.)
Hi,
Did you download the most recent build from the 1st of May and the GUI from 5th of May?
This is the site:
http://www.gibix.net/dokuwiki/en:projects:basilisk2
If the new GUI doesn't, you can try to edit the .basiliskii_prefs file.
Just make sure the line "ether slirp" is in there.
Can you also please paste it's contents here?
Best wishes

Well, I just downloaded the new version, but it still won't work. I typed slirp in the text field, and i typed ether slirp there, but it still doesn't work. If I Just type slirp, it comes up with no error message, but still doesn't work. If I type anything else, like ether slirp, it says "Cannot open /dev/sheep_net (No such file or directory) Eithernet will not be available." Also, I can't find the preferences file, so I can't post it.
Hi,
The prefs file is hidden in your home folder.
If you: "sudo nano basilisk_ii_prefs" in Terminal, you can edit it and copy it here.
Just to make sure: you downloaded the OSX version?
