Basilisk II on Mac Intel -Moving Files???

Post by Glendalough »

I'm using an Intel Mac (10.4.6 -Mac Mini Intel Dual-Core) and getting very strange results with Basilisk II.

The link for the Download and information on this is:

http://www.gibix.net/dokuwiki/en:projec ... lisk2#news

The download I'm using is the third one listed -MacOS X (Universal Binary).

This one has a (new) GUI, not set up through the preferences. I can't get the PPC version to go full screen on this Intel machine, it just crashes. On the PPC it works flawlessly.

This newer version for Intel is an improvement running on the Intel machine as the new interface has no frame or boarder and allows it to go almost fullscreen (like Sheepshaver). If you try to go all the way it does this black screening thing???

BUT THE MAIN PROBLEM

It starts moving folders...

At first there is nothing at all in the Unix Folder on the emulator desktop, but soon it begins to fill up with all the folders and files from the home directory...and these in turn begin to appear/move onto the Emulator desktop.

Meanwhile on the host machine, in the Home directory, everything has been put in the "desktop folder" (not desktop).

It also starts to rewrite preferences in a new preference folder inside the "desktop folder", leaving a new preference folder behind in Home folder, the only one left behind.)???

This makes the emulator useless as don't know how far all this moving of folders, directories, files will go. This is a terrible pity as the emulator runs really well, better than anything to date (except it won't go full screen).

Any Ideas Please!

Hi,

What folder did you designate to share in the GUI? Your home folder?

You could try to share a folder you specially made to share between Basilisk and Mac OS X.

Best wishes,

Ha!

Smart Idea!

Works fine now.

Thanks. Have been away, just got back (thus delay).

Now if we could just get complete fullscreen like on the PPC.

Thanks Again.
