When i use basilisk II JIT for mac with:
-a color classic rom
-system 6.0.5. and 6.0.8.
-basilisk set to mac IIci mode
i get the message
"This macintosh is set to 32-bit addressing. You may switch to 24-bit addressing and use this disk or restart and use another startup disk.
System 6 does not support 32 bit addresiing."
does anyone know how to fix this? I really want to see os 6 in color.

To run Basilisk II in Classic mode on a Windows host, you will need Basilisk II build 94 or older, which is non-JIT enabled.
Then you will need a Mac II ROM (256k checksum A49F9914 from a Mac Classic works).
Set the Model ID to 5.
CPU: 68020
FPU disabled
Set the colors to 16 color palette.
Set the RAM size to 4
You can get older builds of Basilisk II for Windows via the Monster Mac Emulation Pack 2007 torrent: http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/1299181/775222/
or via the Mac Emu Power Pack Spring 2007 installer: http://www.freespaces.com/ultimate/MEP/ ... r_pack.htm
If you are using Mac OS X or Linux, the torrent may be your best bet.

Whoops. I thought you hadn't specified that this is on Mac OS X and I just remembered something when I read your last post (and reread your first post).
Nigel Pearson does have a Mac OS X port of Basilisk II for Mac OS X that supposedly can run Mac Classic.
See his notes about build "V16 Classic" here: http://www.users.bigpond.com/pear_compu ... iskII.html
You can download it here: http://www.users.bigpond.com/pear_compu ... sic.tar.gz

You can edit the file ~/.basilisk_ii_prefs in Text Edit. The file is normally invisible in the Finder so one needs to make hidden files visible temporarily with an appropriate utility to be able to open it in the Finder. You can also try and use Terminal to open the file.
The format is one line:
