I use Basilisk II in DirectX full screen mode. I use the ethernet over a LAN and to avoid conflicts I had to set up a fake hardware address in the Basilisk GUI. Setting different IP addresses (one used by Windows and one used by Basilisk) was indeed not enough.
Now when I switch to Windows (without quitting the emulator), perform some operations which involve using the network and then switch back to Basilisk, I find the emulator "half frozen": the mouse still responds, but the keyboard and the apps don't. I have to bruteforce shutdown Basilisk.
I believe this has something to do with the network card being shared by Windows and MacOS so I guess this could be solved by disabling ethernet in Basilisk when Basilisk is not active. Is there a setting in the GUI that can do this?
Emulator hangs when switching back from Windows
