Emendelson, are you okay with me uploading this to the server here and linking to it in the wiki?

Yes, of course. I'd be very pleased to have it here.

I've posted a slightly improved version at the same address listed in the first message.

Thanks for the update, emendelson. We have certainly had a very productive week in the forum! Thanks for contributing, as always.

As a first-time Basilisk user, I'm wondering if this should be used instead of the GUI, or if I have it all wrong? If so, which file do I add as the disk image, the NetworkAccess one, the MacROM one, or OS 7.5? Sorry if this is a silly question, haven't gotten Basilisk up and running yet

You're absolutely right that this is a bit confusing!
The point of this program is that it makes it easier to select disk images than the GUI does. Everything this program does can be done in the GUI - and of course you need the GUI for setting RAM, video, etc. But once you've set RAM, video, etc. in the GUI, then this program makes it easier to manipulate disk images.
To get started, you need to create a disk image and install the OS on it. See the guide in the wiki on this site for instructions.
This should have been spelled out earlier, so I'm glad you posted the question.

I've posted a revised version of the script at the same link shown in the first message in this thread. Apparently, one of the recent OS X updates made changes in Applescript error handling, and the program suddenly required extra steps to exit from it. I think the new version fixes all this.

@Ronald You don't have to put a Carbon Application in a dmg or zip or whatever. And no more red button.

What are you referring to? Which application, when and where?
And no more red button.
That is or was a bug in MacOSX 10.5 (Leopard) related to (Dutch) localization. I do not see it in Snow Leopard and I do not know if it is still in Leopard with the current version of this script.

I've now recompiled and codesigned this script. It should run smoothly under Catalina.

OK, here is a new script application for selecting and creating disk images for Basilisk II; it also includes an option that opens the prefs file for editing:https://www.dropbox.com/s/esjai9ih7ca6j ... r.zip?dl=1
It's codesigned, and should run under Catalina, where (I think) the BasiliskIIGUI won't run.
Not heavily tested, so backup the prefs file if you use it.

Thanks. The existing GUI will certainly not run in Catalina.
I edited the first post in this topic to point to your latest post here.
A minor remarks: I find the HD icon confusing.

I added the file to the wiki downloads and changed links to your older EmulatorImageChooser to this new one.
