Looking For Software

Post by ..::| Dave89 |::.. »

I've been running System 7.5.5 for a few months now, but have only found a few pieces of software, like Sim City Classic, WordPerfect, etc. I would like to know where to find good software, preferably free, I'm especially in need of a Gmail compatible email client. I love System 7, but there's not much I can do in it at the moment.

TIA

As far as I can tell, no 68K e-mail clients will work with gmail. The technology is too old. The old clients don't include the modern protocols, and whatever...

Has AppleWorks 5 been released for free? I downloaded AppleWorks 5 from MacintoshGarden, and was wondering whether it's been released for free, or, probably more likely, it's a pirated version. It's a pretty good application, I quite like it already.

AFAIK, ClarisWorks (versions 1-5), later AppleWorks (versions 5-6), has never been released for free. It could be purchased on floppies (later on CD) and it used to come installed on consumer Macs like Performa and iMac models.
