IE4 download manager doesn't download in Basilisk?

Post by Guest »

I have OS 8.0 hard drive image I found on the internet and upgraded to 8.1. I'm using IE 4.1 and I have the router functionality enabled in the latest version of Basilisk. While I can go to web pages just fine, whenever I hold Ctrl and click and select "Download link" the download manger comes up, but the files never seem to start downloading - they just say "Waiting". What am I missing? Thanks for any help.

Ohh...I can solve this one now.

Dump IE. Go with Netscape. Much nicer browser, IMHO.

EDIT: DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE.
GODDAMNED FUCKING PIRATES! I WILL KILL YOU ALL!

I prefer IE 4.0.1 myself, but don't use Basilisk II to web browse because under Basilisk II (or Fusion, or a real 68k Mac), browsing is too slow even with cable access.

Downloading files via FTP or other means is fast though.

As I don't have a pirated version of OS 8, I can't duplicate the problem.
