You need to install it using the Mac OS 8 or 8.1 CD, available really cheap off of eBay.

You also need to be running Basilisk II on Windows NT, 2k, XP or 2003 to get audio CDs to work.

I have used audio CDs in win98, but they are not working now for some reason.

You might be able to get CD Audio working if you install ASPI and assign a fake Vendor ID for the CD Drive.

(Basilisk II: Black Hammer includes requires ASPI Installers.)

I would really appreciate if you could post step-by-step instructions to do this. Can you?

for the fake ID
in the basilisk2 GUI, click SCSI.
there are some options on there.

just play with it and you will find out.

for aspi:

see http://www.emulators.com/dowload.htm for details

Let me be a little bit more specific with my question.
I am running Windows 98 Second Edition and I didn't install Adaptec's ASPI layer since I understand that this version of Windows doesn't need them (in facts I am able to load Macintosh CD-ROMs without problems).
What I am not able to load at all are audio CDs (they don't get displayed on my desktop at all).
I haven't got a SCSI adapter in my system; all my disks (including an LG CD player and a Waitec CD burner) are ATA.
I understand that I have to mess with the SCSI tab in the Basilisk II GUI: what exactly do I have to type in?
Do I have to enable SCSI (currently disabled) even if I don't have SCSI disks, and then replace the vendor ID of one or both of my CD players with... what? What is a fake vendor ID that worked for you?

Thank you

That was me

I forgot to type my user name in the previous post.
Now that we know each other, what about the audio CDs?

Ask Rob over here: http://forums.delphiforums.com/stoncolddsl/start

He says he's done in on Win9x\Me.
