Some sound not wotking

Post by Guest »

Im running the latest verson of Basilisk for windows (running xp.) Mostly everything is working fine, except sound. The sound in some games (Lemmings, Beyond Dark Castle, Tetris) refuses to play. Oh, my 'mac' is running system 7.5, but it also dosnt work with system 6. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Make sure the sound isn't muted in the Mac's Sounds control panel.

If it isn't, go ahead and post the text found inside your BasiliskII_Prefs file.

*sigh* my hard drive crashed yesterday so ive lost my install, but what i know that the sound wasnt muted because some games (three in 3) worked fine, but others (lemmings) would not. Hope that helps. Now i need to fix my hard drive... grumble

Yeah, I know what that's like. :?

What I do is try running Basilisk II GUI and Basilisk II using someone else's BasiliskII_Prefs file to see if it's a config problem. Often that's all it is, but then in some cases it's a hardware problem or a Windows problem or a Mac OS problem or a Mac application problem or a ROM problem or a hard drive file problem or a bug\limitation of Basilisk II itself.
