Currently recommended: (But also see next post below.) BasiliskII, 1 March 2014 For OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) through 10.9 (Mavericks). Compatible BasiliskIIGUI application (by our member "vasi") and keycodes file included in the download. Download: http://www.xs4all.nl/~ronaldpr/basilisk ... 140301.zip Improvements since earlier Intel builds: - Performance improvements. - Support for disk images in sparsebundle format. See explanation and discussion in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=7974 - Cursor grabbing toggle (Ctrl-F5). Pressing Ctrl-F5 will make the emulator grab the mouse cursor and keep it inside its window. Especially useful for some games. Again pressing Ctrl-F5 will release the cursor. - Window-Fullscreen toggle (Ctrl-Return). Pressing Ctrl-Return will toggle between window mode and full-screen mode. By posting this last build I hoped to bring some order in all the various BasiliskII builds floating around. But it appears that some games do not run properly in this build. In fact, the games only run fine in builds by vasi and not in builds by Cat_7 and myself. That applies to all builds for at least the past three years. 01-03-2014: Posted the new March 1, 2014 build. 02-03-2014: Replaced the included GUI in the download. (The originally included March 2013 GUI erroneously depends on external X11-related files.) 02-03-2014: Added list of all publicly available builds since 2009. 03-03-2014: Added link to current discussion. 10-08-2016: Removed outdated comment that the 2013 GUI build will only run with X11/XQuartz installed. |
