Question about bin/cue CD audio support

Post by celebi23 »

So, I did a quick search about Basilisk II bin/cue CD audio and found this topic:

Was just wondering if there's been any progress on this feature since then? Would love to play WarCraft 1 with CD audio in Basilisk II or even SheepShaver some day.

Probably better to attempt mounting the bin/cue from within the guest environment using one of the tools like ToastImageMounter that will successfully do this. From the other thread's description, it appears that changes are required to SDL in order to accomplish the task, as well as significant changes to the BII codebase (also used by SS). Since nobody's been actively developing either emulator in the interim, this is yet another feature that's likely to languish until someone new decides to learn the codebase and take it in a new direction.
