I don't feel like spamming the whole sub-forum, so I'm just going to put this all in one thread.
Emulated system: Mac IIsi, sys 7.01
-Basilisk keeps starting in B&W mode
-"Cannot open ROM file" error when trying to run multiple BasiliskII
- How to change the Mac identifier (About this Mac... menu) from IIci to IIsi

Re: Basilisk II issues.
As adespoton mentioned to you in another thread, BasiliskII does not actually emulate a real Mac, so no Mac IIsi either. You probably mean that you use a Mac IIsi ROM file.MacintoshGuy wrote:Emulated system: Mac IIsi,
Can you change color depth in Monitors control panel while BasiliskII is running?-Basilisk keeps starting in B&W mode
How do you do that? Different BasiliskII instances should each be in a different folder, each with its own additional files.-"Cannot open ROM file" error when trying to run multiple BasiliskII
Only two flavours in BasiliskII, IIci and Quadra 900.- How to change the Mac identifier (About this Mac... menu) from IIci to IIsi
Indeed, not with System 7.0.1.-Basilisk II Sound doesn't work (at all!)

WishIWere is what I always used back in the day to change the gestalt ID. Really only useful for System 7.1.x where the About... window displays the computer name and an icon. You'll want to use it *after* doing any installations, as pretending to be a different computer may break comparability with your emulator if the wrong support files are installed.

Pretty sure there is a "modelid" setting in the BasiliskII_prefs file.

Right.
modelid 5 = IIci
modelid 14 = Quadra 900
modelid 5 = IIci
modelid 14 = Quadra 900

Re: Basilisk II issues.
I've created the following archive: http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/helper-extensions-bii -- it contains the extensions needed to get 7.0 through 7.1.2 supporting the shared folder, sound output and TrueType fonts in System 7.1 through 7.1.2 (including Performa versions).
Enjoy!
