I have downloaded the emulator BasiliskII (much appreciated, its a wonderful thing to do!) with a PERFORMA.ROM, got the System 7.5 and have successfully been able to installed it and it runs.
But the thing is that I know want apps and since they are in SIT-format and read that I would need Stuffit Expander, so I tried this one:
https://www.macintoshrepository.org/247 ... f-w-ee-5-5
But when I try to installet it it says "There is not enough room on "Disk Tools 1" to install. An additional 13,800 bytes are needed.".
The strange thing is that I didn't even wanted to get installet on Disk Tools 1, I wanted it to be installed on the Hard Drive where I also copied the file to.
Have been print screened this photos of the process.
I really would appreciate all help I could get!

Can't open SIT-files

Re: Can't open SIT-files
Hi,
It seems you booted from the disk tools 1 disk image. But you have system 753 installed and that is where you also have the installer for stuff-it.
Use the GUI to remove all disks you no longer need and boot from the 753 hard disk image (or move the 753 hard disk image to the top of the volumes list), then install onto to 753 hard disk image.
You can select other disks at the top of the installer dialogue window where it now says Disk Tool 1 (see 3rd image).
Best,
Cat_7

Thank you for your reply!
I tried to change the order in the GUI-list, but I just get this error message when I am trying to start the emulator.
Try to restart it but every time the same things happening if I don't put the file DiskTools_MacOS8 first in the list.
Here is whats happen:

Then boot of the disk tools image and remove the a/rose extension from the extensions folder on the 753 disk.

Re: Can't open SIT-files
Thank you so much! Work like it should!
And I can now open SIT-files. Wonderful!
The only problem I got now is that there are no sounds when I open the old games. Glider 4.0 ( https://www.macintoshrepository.org/5066-glider-4-0 ) for an example, or Shuffle Puck Cafe ( https://www.macintoshrepository.org/616 ... epuck-cafe ) it should have sound effects and some music but it´s all quiet. The sound is working on the emulator itself since I hear sound when I choose Control Panel > Sound.
But nothing from the apps. It would be wonderful to solve this, it should be possible right?
EDIT: Just downloaded the game Lemmings and the sound is working on that one. Maybe there is something wrong with the files above (Glider and Shuffle Pack Cafe)?

Re: Can't open SIT-files
Apps compiled using sound manager controlled audio output will need the correct output device selected from the Sound control panel. In earlier versions of System 7, this device may not be selectable due to the sound manager extension not being in the system folder.
What OS version are you running, and do you have an output device selected?
