Unarchiver and Mini vMac

Post by ClockWise »

Hey, this is neat - https://www.gryphel.com/c/news/nva9.html

Paul Pratt is working on a "modification" of The Unarchiver for Mini vMac (as a replacement for Stuffit Expander for Windows) that will be as small as possible and serve only to to extract the System 6.0.8 install disks.

I'll hold off on the planned update to the Mini vMac guide until that is available.

I had hoped that with the sources of HFV Explorer becoming available, some sort of integration with The Unarchiver would be feasible, thus obliterating the need for Expander forever. Maybe some day.

I also reckon something for mashing together all 14 parts of System 7.5.3 would be nice, but I guess people don't download it that way very often? A Windows version of TomeViewer for extracting New World ROMs from Apple updates would be neat too.
