can't get network to work in cvs build 7-05

Post by MDZ61384 »

subject says it all. network plain won't work. I'm getting a 169 address (169.254.107.215)

I've tried switching to manual and then back again, I tried refreshing the connection and that didn't work either.

my config ends with "34"...I've tried "35" too and neither work. they have worked with previous builds in the past.

this would be a lot simpler if I knew where release/renew was on mac...or if such a thing exists. but I don't.

I'm using openvpn beta 2...erm...and I'm also bridging the connections between my wireless router and pearpc. like I said, its worked before. I'm getting a yellow light in network connections and dont' know whats the deal.

might I also add I've always used the realtec drivers and they've worked fine

has anyone gotten it work with the 7-05 build yet?

Yeah, i've been having problems with the 3Com card since the 7/3 or so builds...I switched to the rtl8139 one with manual IP and it sometimes works.

I get almost infinite lists of "frag errors" if i use the 3Com card and gets stuck booting..

use the rtl8139 card for now I guess..

i guess it doesn't matter if you've always been using that card (i started with rtl8139, switched to the 3COm one and now coming back to rtl8139).

You can download the (hacked) drivers for the card at the official PearPC site.

Give it a try..it doesn't hurt..
