Invision Board?

Post by Neospy »

Hey, I was wondering if we changed to invison board, would we attract or lose people. I think we would lose them because there is no way to save the user details and the posts? But you would gain because IPB has so many more features.

There are lots of things I like about Invision Power Board, but i think we should just stay with phpBB. phpBB is good enough for this forum I think (and you have to pay for invision power board to be able to remove the message in the web browsers title bar that says '(Powered by Invision Power Board)')

and this forum has its own theme which we would have to redo to be able to use it with IPB.

Converting the template would take a long time, longer than any of us are willing to work.

phpBB does everything we need it to almost, just a few bugs to hammer out. ; )

Are there any newer versions for phpBB? If so, can we upgrade?

We are using the latest version of phpBB I do believe. Jeff applied patches manually.
