My G3 500 won't start

Recently I've purchased an g3 500 processor for upgrade my B&W Yosemite (my old g3 300), but it refuses to start when configured at that speed. It starts at 450 only. Is there a fix for this? I tried installing latest firmware but it says it's already up-to-date.

What brand of G3 upgrade and OS are you using?

I changed my g3 300 to a g3 500 (both came from a B&W tower) and my Mac OS version is 9.2.2

Nevermind... We've just found out that the processor is actually a 400mhz. So I could get part of my funding back
